Namma Kannada exists for one reason: to help people in and around Bengaluru actually speak Kannada — with confidence, and with the warmth the language is known for.
Why we built this
Millions of people live, work, and study in Karnataka without ever feeling comfortable speaking Kannada. Most language apps teach in a way that never survives contact with a real conversation — endless grammar, formal phrasing, and lessons that fizzle out after a few days.
We wanted something different: a way to learn the Kannada you’d actually use — buying vegetables, taking an auto, chatting with neighbours, or reconnecting with your roots. So we built short, gamified lessons around real scenarios, local slang, numbers, pronunciation, and an AI guru you can practise with any time.
The result is Namma Kannada — “our Kannada” — a friendly companion for anyone who wants to belong here a little more.
